What if my parachute doesn't open?
According to FAA regulation, all intentional parachute jumps must be made with a single harness, dual parachute system with both a main and a secondary, or reserve, parachute. Basically, if one doesn't work, you have another one. The reserve parachutes are inspected and repacked every 120 days by an FAA-certified rigger whether they've been used or not. Student main parachutes are packed by a rigger or are packed under direct supervision of a certified rigger. In addition, all students must have an AAD which will deploy if the student fails to activate either the main or reserve parachute.

What if I am late?
....JUST DON'T BE!! If you miss a class, or if a large part of a group arrives late and we miss the opportunity to get you up that day, it is your responsibility to reschedule and come back to make the dive. We train groups at the scheduled arrival time, and some of each group will go first, others will have to wait while we get these first student skydivers up and repack our parachutes. But it is still necessary that everyone arrives on time for the scheduled training session.

Where do I go when I get there?
After parking, if you are looking at the airport hanger, walk on the left side of it and you will see a trailer at the end. This is where you will sign up and so forth. The training room is right beside of the trailer.

Be sure they understand they may be waiting around a while. Make sure that they know that there is a chance of having to reschedule your jump due to weather and such, and that skydiving is not something that can be organized on a tight schedule.

Yes, we jump in the winter, but we don't know what the temperature will be at jump altitude until we get there.

Smoking & Drinking?
Please don't smoke inside, or in any of the packing areas. If there is a cigarette butt lying on the ground and we lay a parachute down on it, it will be expensive to repair, and you will have a lot of angry skydivers hunting you down.. So don't do it!
Do not consume any alcoholic beverages within 8 hours prior to training. No open alcoholic beverages until the last load of the day is up in the air, even though you may be done jumping for the day.
